IVST strives for a balance of competition, sportsmanship, friendship and loads of fun.
We believe the goal of swimming is to help kids develop a life-long love of swimming. Whether you are a beginner or experienced, or a racing champion our instructional approach with world-class coaching provides opportunities for success at all-levels. Coaches will be on deck providing continuous instruction, positive feedback and encourage all swimmers to do their best in every practice and race.
There is also a long history of tradition and pride at Indian Valley Swim Team. Our swimmers are consistently reminded that integrity, sportsmanship and respect for other swimmers and coaches create the foundation for a strong team, and even stronger individuals.
IVST has been a vibrant part of our community and the Walnut Creek Swim Conference for nearly 50 years. Every summer, we compete against our fellow WCSC teams – Dewing Park, Larkey, Rudgear Estates, Rudgear Meadows, Walnut Creek Swim Club, Woodlands and Walnut Heights – in a dual swim meet format. Special invitational meets and dual meets with other neighboring teams complete our summer schedule.
As a team, we depend heavily on the support of parent volunteers to ensure that all swimmers and families have a fun and rewarding recreational swim team experience. Our team could not operate without parental support!
